Behave.

Stahp.
What was that for? PDA. You know what that is, right? You must've heard. No? Okay - Public Display of Affection. PDA. The word gives me chills. And the people doing it make me want to scream "get a room please?" in their faces. I really wish I could. Scream, that is.
So you're both madly in love. Great, isn't it? Sure. 'Til you start to annoy people.
You see, when you're with a group of people, it's not fair to them that you be engrossed in each other and ignore everything else. Au contraire to what you might believe, you don't look like a 'so-in-love couple'. You look like two selfishly-in-love people who don't care about the people they're with. When you have company, it is not okay to click selfies. It is not okay to mushy-talk. And it is definitely not okay to ignore the rest and be okay with it. NO.
You can't, rather shouldn't be, "the couple" when you're with a bunch of friends. Don't make someone get up so you can sit next to your partner. It is perfectly fine to not sit next to each other for once. For God's sake, don't feed each other if you're out for lunch/dinner. You can do that when you go on a date. Don't start a tell-tale about something embarrassing your girl/guy did. Some things are best kept secrets, you know? And do not start with the fake "jaa, mujhse baat mat kar" and "sorry, baby" shit. You get on people's nerves. What's more creepy is you stealing glances at each other and give a sheepish smile and fake blush. Can you not?
If your best friend is trying to make conversation with you, be a good listener. Chat with them. Your other half will not breathe their last if you don't-talk for five minutes, okay?
You watch F..R.I.E.N.D.S and How I Met Your Mother and Grey's Anatomy and think you'll be like Chandler and Monica, Lily and Marshall, Meredith and Derek. Sure. Nothing wrong with that. But you don't see Chandler and Joey, Ted and Barney, Meredith and Cristina, do you? No.
So, sirs and misses, be in love. But not exclusively so. You can be brothers, sisters, gossip-mongrels, best friends. N'est-ce pas?

    1. It means 'Isn't it?' or 'right?' like a rhetoric question. After a statement.
Haha, it came straight through my heart. xD Thank you!

  2. I really like the way you pointed out that it is not okay to indulge in PDA but more importantly, it is not okay to be okay with it. That it is okay to be in love but not to be selfishly in love. That there are other equally valuable relationships.

  3. It's like your speaking ME! Only at a younger age. If you're truly in love I reckon it should be making both the partners GROW as individuals too. PDA epitomizes the insecurity in puppy love!
