a chair in the kitchen!

there's a chair in our kitchen,
our table-less kitchen.
grocery bags hang on its back.
it's usually empty,
but sometimes you may find on it
a huge unopened atta packet
or glossy newspapers
reserved for spreading on shelves,
or a lone orange.

but it's actually meant
for you,
if you're waiting for water to boil
or for the 3rd whistle of the cooker,
or for the beep of the aquaguard.
and for people,
because cooking can get lonely.
so, there's a chair in the kitchen.
